Voting Question: MY property will be liened if services rendered during escrow by seller not paid for?
Part of my purchase agreement for my house included an addendum for the seller to pay for a wood destroying pest inspection and certain repairs. Inspection and repairs were ordered and performed…escrow closed and I have my house. However, I just received a notice from the pest control company saying they have not received payment from the seller’s agent and are threatening a lien on my property…what can i do?

I am taking care of a home while young friend is away on vaca for 3 more weeks.Severe insect invasion prompted homeowner to call a pest control company to make inspection and give advice. The technician called the homeowner in my presence and she decided to use the services of this company. The technician called the office and said I would have to sign the work order/contract with my name “for” the homeowner’s name. This was verbally approved by homeonwer and she called the company to pay by credit card the first installment. My husband disagreed with my action and wondered if I could be held liable for the yearly contract even though I signed my name for the homeowner. (The homeowner’s husband is out of country serving US and could not be contacted–I was just trying to HELP!) Any one know the law in the case? The owner would never put me in a bad position but my husband kept saying I should NEVER do this in the future and was disappointed in my actions. Waaaah!
