Resolved Question: On my Kawasaki GT550 it has self canceling, which works by electromagnet, what thermal cutout can i use?
Recently i have found out some information on how to diagnose my self canceling system on my Kawasaki GT550.
I had diagnosed that the electromagnet was at fault, but on closer inspection and testing it turns out to be a faulty thermal cutout.
My question is what replacement can i get for it that would identical to this information i found on the old part:
Microtemp PAT. WDA ED 420uF K 250V 6A 96% .

I have looked at :
http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=470

and im not sure if any of those would be suitable.
obviously i want a part that will prevent the coil from melting in the event of say the live feed from the self canceling control unit becoming pernamantly stuck on. But i dont want it to become a nusance because its too sensitive

thanks for any helpful input :) Im in the westmidlands UK, so if you know of anywhere that sells either a similar rated part or identical, please pass on the details
oh its 96 degrees C.. not % as i put in the question :) NwMB- kawasaki only sell the complete switchgear, not one part of it.
bikerwookiejim- yes i agree i may have to buy a 2nd hand one, but its a common problem for the self canceling to fail or go up in smoke.90% of Gt’s self canceling doesnt work.
So i could buy another broke switchgear with the same problem.
Ive owned the GT750 as well as my curent GT550. Niether self canceling worked.
My one freind owned one as a courier and the left switchgear melted. Ive worked on three other Gt’s and they ave exactly the same problem- self canceling isnt working. I doubt its isolated to the westmidlands! lol.
NO ANSWER ANY GOOD BUT WILL CHOOSE BEST OUT OF TWO GIVEN! LOL…..

Resolved Question: termites checking?
we are looking to rent our wood house. we have had it four years and i haven’t had an inspection in that time. note that the house sits on 4 levels of bricks and easy to climb under.
all the exterminators give me different techniques and large variants in cost. options:
[1] use a tapping method thru out house including ceiling and floor. out to garden, and check trees and wooden fences and any other favorite spots
[2] the above plus the use af “damp” metres as termites need moisturizer
[3] a ultrasound [thermal image] that checks all the internal walls.
