Open Question: False information against my family?
Recently my uncle began work on a house with a friend of his, it was a four week job that paid when the work was done. His friend showed up only for the first week then quit on him. After about three weeks he showed up again yelling and threatening my uncle unless he paid him his part for the work, although my uncle had not yet recieved his own payment.

Later on that afternoon social workers showed up at my uncles house because of a complaint about kids not being fed and the kids being abused. They also had to investigate claimed drug use in the home. It was clear the friend had called the state to get back at my uncle. Later on in the afternoon police officers showed up at my aunts work claiming that she was selling drugs out of her work. The next day she was fired because of the false accusation. Also, a building inspector showed up at their home to investigate claims that the house needed to be condemned.

Come to find out my uncles friend was an informant for the local police and he is using his connections in the police department to harass my aunt and uncle and because of this they cannot go to the police. They have been threatened and harassed for a week now over $200. Is there any legal repercussions that can be used against my uncles friend for putting forward the false information to the police even though he is an informant. Or for the false information presented to the state or building inspector? Or lastly for the threats of violence? Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

Voting Question: I want to know where the pipes that supply water to my home lie?
We are currently exposing the foundations of an existing extension of our home, with a view to building a second floor on top. Husband has started to dig the exposure hole and we have hit water. The Buildings inspector doesnt believe it to be a ‘water table’ as it is leaking through a vent brick of the existing foundation. I have been in contact with the water board and they dont have plans of the water pipes on the property…. Further the bro-in-law built the existing extension and is damn sure there are no pipes in this vicinity!
Is anyone in the know as to who could find out where this mysterious water is coming from?????

Resolved Question: Is it possible to get our home deposit back on a home that has found to have termites?
We had put up a .25% deposit to secure the house and send a building inspector to see if the house is ok, and they found termites on the property. We decided not to buy that house anymore and want our deposit back.
