Do The Homeowners Usually Stick Around When Their House Is Getting …
Yes, homeowners can be there during an inspection. I was a home inspector for almost 20 yrs. I always preferred the homeowner to be home. If I had any questions, or found locked doors, or need him/her for any reason. … If you are not paying for the inspection, he will probably not let you look at the report. This should not be considered impolite, it is a part of his contract (usually). He is there to find potential problems for the buyer that may have been “overlooked” … read more…

Resolved Question: Kind of mad! Is it customary for your home inspector to send a copy of your report to your real estate agent?
I called my real estate agent a few days after the inspection and she said out of the blue that the inspection looked good, that the inspector sent her a copy of it???? I am mad, I paid for that, it’s personal property, isn’t it? I wonder if I can get my money back?
ps I never gave him permission to do that!
I totally understand that I hired and agent, to help me BUY THE HOUSE… I probably know more about the insides and outs about the issues found with the mechanics of the inspection then she does, she is a real estate agent, not a contractor.. If I wanted her to go back to the seller and say ” she said that the roof was leaking and wants that fixed before she buys it.” that’s her job.. I did not say to the inspector, give my real estate agent a copy, why would I, that’s why I had an inspector because a real estate agent doesn’t know that stuff, if she did, I would have paid her to do it… The question doesn’t warrant jerky answers… I work in a hospital and all personal information is private and needs permission to be given to someone else, this is why, I am not used to paying for something and it just given to someone else!
Resolved Question: We have a problem neighbor. He always bothers us, What can we do?
We have this neighbor he is always watching what we do, he lives in the corner next to the alley and we are the 2nd house next to him. He one time walked in front of our car and then said we tried to run him over. He now has started mocking my daughter. He drives around the block all crazy. He even had called the city to cut a tree down that is in front of my house. The city did not listen to him though. When we fix something he calls inspectors on us, even though we always have permits to build and fix things. Why do you think he is so psycho? Today i was sitting on my couch watching tv, and i saw him spit on the window of my car, is there anything i can do or report him somewhere? He is always staring this way, he drives around our alley even though his garage is on the crossing street. Or when he comes home from work he will drive around the block and alley about 2 times, and he will do the same if he leaves or goes somewhere. He wears this t-shirt that says security, maybe in his mind he feels he is this blocks security. He also fixes cars illegally in his garage, and doesn’t report any taxes on that. But we still have never called on him or anything. Any advice, we both own our homes so it is kind of hard to move.
Resolved Question: Do you like the speech i have written for my debat tomorrow on the topic of removal of troops in Iraq?
The Unjust War
“War is never just another means that one can choose to employ for settling differences between nations and war cannot be decided upon . . . except as the very last option and in accordance with very strict conditions.” “There is still time to negotiate; there is still room for peace, it is never too late to come to an understanding and to continue discussions.
These are the words of the late Holy Father John Paul the Second.
To start my debate I would like to review the main checklist to see if this war in Iraq was a just war, and whether or not, lives have been spent for a good reason. In about the 1600’s Saint Thomas Aquinas formed what is know as the “Just war theology.”
This is the Catholic view of a just war:
1) The damage inflicted by the aggressor on the nation or community of nations must be lasting, grave, and certain;
2) All other means of putting an end to it must have been shown to be impractical or ineffective;
3) There must be serious prospects of success;
4) The use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated. The power of modern means of destruction weighs very heavily in evaluating this condition.
The other half of this is know as the “ Just war theory,” used today in the government:
1) A just war can only be waged as a last resort. All nonviolent options must be exhausted before the use of force is justified.
2) A just war can only be fought to redress a wrong suffered.
3)The violence used in the just war must be proportional to the injury suffered.
4) The weapons used in the just war must discriminate between combatants and non-combatants. ( This means the separation of soldiers-combatants and to civilians- non-combatants.)
This war is an unjust war because so many thousands of people have been killed through the decisions of the people in the government. Was this war waged as a last resort, no. When Saddam Hussein was captured, he was said to have many hidden (WMD) weapons of mass destruction. He never elaborated on the subject when asked where the weapons were. This is the main reason why we went over to Iraq in the first place. Many nations including the UN and the UK were concerned with the fact that Iraq had many weapons of mass destruction. This is why UNSCOM (United Nations Special Commission) went to inspect Iraq for the weapons of mass destruction. The inspectors found no standing evidence that there were even weapons of mass destruction in the country. The Al-Qaeda terrorists associated with Saddam Hussein also posed as a threat to the United States in the September 11, 2001 attacks, so the US government launched a series of counter campaigns against Al-Qaeda and this is known as the War on Terror. The 9/11 attacks were used as an excuse by the government to supposedly provide a just reason to begin war, a war that in the first place never should have started. In a sense the war could have been completely avoided if the United States had not chosen to interfere with Iraq and imposed a police like possession of the country.
You may think that our forces over in Iraq are fine where they are. But you would not imagine the horrors and disastrous things that occur. Bombings, a unceasing rain of fire upon our soldiers. The penalties and awfulness of this unjust war, are those which go beyond number. Countless lives have been taken, through the eagerness of the government in our country. Soldiers have been wounded, killed, captured, tortured, at what cost? Hundreds of soldiers have been blown up in roadside bombings. What does this profit the US if it puts all of its soldiers out of the country in mortal danger? Nothing!
If we have all of our soldiers over in Iraq, who will we have to protect our own country if any threat arrives? Many men and women serving in the army have been killed, leaving who or what behind? Their wives, husbands, children, family, homes. And if they have no family, who will mourn their death. Are they to just be left an unnamed victim who died in the war, for a cause that was not even just in the first place? Over 200,000 vets are homeless in US.
Even many of the innocent Iraqi civilians are being killed. Life is the most important of all treasures, and it should be protected, promoted, and encouraged at every moment! Through the years from 2003 to 2006 to 2009, suicide rates among soldiers have doubled or perhaps tripled! Soldiers who have no relatives figure that what they are fighting for so desperately to keep their lives. But so often is this misunderstood! There have been over 4,187 deaths of United States soldiers in Iraq, and over 30,000 wounded soldiers reported.
In total, 1,220,580 soldiers and Iraqis have been either wounded or killed since 2003. In 2007, 128 soldiers killed themselves. 85 of the soldiers who committed suicide last year were married. Taking their own lives seems to be the only way out. There have been many factors ab
