At this point I haven’t been able to narrow them down very well despite my research. The descriptions on these jobs are very vague, and I still have very little idea what I would be doing.

The reason for posting all that were available to me is for the hope that somebody has some experience with one, or two, or however many of these and can perhaps shed some light on their job duties and any other useful info.

Resolved Question: Our house failed the house inspection, what do we do now?
We have had our house listed for about 5 months now and we finally got an offer last week. The guy had an inspection yesterday and his inspector says there as an issue with the house regarding structural, we think the house is sinking since the houses across the alley sunk many years ago according to our realtor who has lived in this community for 50 yrs. Anyhow we were retarded and didnt get a house inspection when we moved in thanks to our idiot other realtor *not the same one as now*. We need to get someone who inspects the structural integrity of the house to see what has to be done but have no idea who we would call.

BTW our house slants from front to back, it was initially damage to the floor because we think this house was a grow op at one point. Again if we had been smart and got an inspection instead of having our realtor talk us out of it so we could save a whole whopping 300 dollars we wouldnt be in this situation.

IF there is definate structural damage, who would buy the house? We want to get out of this place asap.. We have a new baby and there is not enough room and it seems the longer we live here the more money we have to put into the house.

In summary, I need to know who would buy the house all things considering and if there is a way out of this place and also who I would look up to do a structural inspection, apparently house inspectors dont do that in depth of an inspection.

Resolved Question: House inspection before sale reveals a structural problem. Should that responsibility remain with the seller?
I recently had a house inspection done on a house I want to buy. It was discovered right away that a truss had a notch cut away to make room for garage door arm. That is no longer needed yet the area is openly exposed and the notch threatens the integrity of the beam that holds up the roof. Should I expect that be taken care of before purchase.
The agent (real estate) passed it across as just another little thing that was brought to my attention and did not ask for it’s repair before closing.
