Open Question: Title problem after transaction - only serious answers please?
Maybe anyone would tell me something interesting what to do, what to expect… ok this is what happened :
I purchased car on eBay… nothing special 2005 Ford Focus. Price was great, I mean nothing crazy but $5000 for car like that is not bad I thing. Millage: 56000. Ok I went to the guy - privet seller - I checked the car, great condition, clean, new tires, new breaks, I took car to the mechanic - my friend - he checked the car and said car in excellent condition, car has been serviced every 5k-10k Miles, no problems nothing wrong someone took care of the car really good- great car he said. Ok I went to the seller to close transaction. he gave me a title… title was filled on the back and was on dealer company… cuz He bought the car 4 month ago and never register and never transfer a title to his name. On the back he was as a buyer and dealer as a seller. He said its ok and thats why he have bill of sell he picked up one from the dealer or DMV in Connecticut cuz thats where car was located - Title was from NJ state. ok I know nothing about buying a car and Im pretty much sure he also know s….t about selling a car. I checked bill of sell there was a rule when you can use it : When back of the title is filled already, so Im thinking thats ok… (later DMV tells me that its ok but only if you have CT Title and buyer is CT resident) I paid him money, he gave me papers, I took car and drove almost 400 miles with no plates but with insurance - I know its kind of illegal but I called to my friend - state trooper - and he said this is not cool but 80% police officers will understand that I just bought a car and had no choice… but he said, you must have insurance - so I called my Insurance company and add car to my policy…. I was driving very careful to make sure I will not be pulled over…. Ok Im home… on the next day I took my old car and went to DMV in Maryland (Im MD resident) before I pass teh MD inspection of course… ok I went to DMV and Im trying to register a car… and the guy in DMV said: you can’t transfer title to your name cuz transaction was illegal actually, cuz previous owner never change title to his name and sold the car with old title from the dealer (that title filled on the back - he said in CT its ok when you have CT title and buyer is CT resident than you can skip one title but in maryland you can;t do that). I called seller told him what happened and he said ok we need to fix that so we met next day in NJ (almost 400 miles driving one way) and in DMV they said they can do nothing and first we must go to MA cuz title is filled on the back for buyer who is MA resident… than lady in DMV said that title is altered on the back, someone was trying to alter a price or something but I didn;t noticed that before, anyway he said he will go to dealer and ask for new title and if this is possible dealer will fill that tile on the back and put my name as a buer and that will be ok, He called me after talked to dealer and dealer said that he must go to MA so he is going tomorrow to MA DMV to transfer title to his name. I gave him oryginal title and let him sign statement that he sold car to me and Im the title and cr owner and he sold me a car with title problem and taking original title just to fix the problem and than he will send me title back. I let him sign that statement with his driver license number and we had witness one his friend and one mine, they also sign that statement with theirs DL number, I also made copy of front and back of the title and let him sign that he has oryginal title and will send me back after fix the problem. So what you ppl think ?? What if they will tell him in MA that title is altered ?? how he can get new title for this car if transfer will be not available cuz altered ?? How he gonna transfer a title to his name if he is Maryland and not Massachusetts resident anymore (I saw his MD driver license) can he transfer that title to his name - on the back he is as a MA resident - OMG its so stressful… I don;t know whats gonna happened… I didn’t ake my money back yet cuz I really wanna keep the car. Im going to report this situation to eBay - cuz car transaction on eBay are Insured for $50.000 so Im not really worry that I will loose my money… but what to do ?? should I report this to police ?? I already talked to police about it and they said If I will report it he will be charge for theft and I should first try to fix that problem and if he will not cooperate than report this… Any advice guys ?? what should I do ?? what you think will happened ?? just a serious answers please cuz this is not easy situation to me… Is anybody here has right knowledge to tell me something ?? I just wanna register that car and drive… and the funniest part is: this is wedding gift for my wife cuz she needs car… Please… Help….

Open Question: Made an offer on countrywide owned home, addendum says I waive the right to avoid sale due to condition, etc..?
One part says I waive my right to avoid the sale of the home. Another part says I should get a home inspection done within 10 days and then have 5 days after showing to seller to revoke contract if I don’t like it. I received this today (saturday) and the seller (countrywide) says I have to sign and return by Monday - the first business day I could possibly get a home inspection when the utilities won’t even be turned on…. HELP! Does this addendum say what I think it says? btw, my financing was accepted as FHA

This is a generic copy I found, but it is the same exact one I was given. We are getting FHA loan and they accepted our offer on the house… and then sent the addendum. On one part it says we waive the right to stop sell of property due to condition, structure, etc. On another it says we have 10 days to get inspection? Does this mean we can’t get out of contract even if the inspection turns out bad? I just got this paper today (saturday) and they said they have the have it back by Monday - the first day I could possibly get an inspection done when the utilities won’t even be turned on yet. WHAT TO DO?
