Open Question: If my home inspector ok’s everything and my roof leaks, is he responsible for damages?
I had a friend of the family do an “unofficial” home inspection (no pay or anything, just a pat on the back and a beer).

My worry is that if there is something wrong with the house, I won’t want to turn around and have to collect from him, god forbid if anything was major.

I don’t want to use a home inspector, but the only reason I would was that if the licensed inspector made an error, he would be liable for anything he missed, correct?

For example, if my roof leaks, and he didn’t catch that, he would be liable for damages, correct? Isn’t that the point of getting a home inspector?

Open Question: who is liable for a wobbly wall when it was inspected?
When I bought my house the real estate agency got a home inspector to inspect the home. The inspector gave a good inspection. Several months later we found on of the exterior was wobbled. We call the home inspector and the real estate agency, the inspector told us that he did not have insurance. Who do I need to sue?

Open Question: home alone, and someone tried to get in?
i felt very sick this morning. (i have a cold and a slight fever) so i stayed home and rested.
but when i went down stairs of my house to get something to eat, someone rang the doorbell, and i knew i shouldnt answer it, so i just hid behind my kitchen island and looked out the window. and no one was there and there wasnt a package when i got up to look. and then i herd noises coming from my backyard, and saw a figure walking throught the shades. and i knew someone was there. and then i dunked down and hid, and saw a big black man peer throught my window. and when he walked to the area behind the shades, i ran upstairs, got my cell phone, hid in my closet and called my mom dad sister and at my dads work but know one picked up. and i didnt want to call the police because i didnt want them to think i was playing “hookie” or something. (i know i was stupid but i was in panic mode and i was crying hystericly), and all i did after i couldnt get them to pick up was pray to god over and over. and then i snuck down stairs and locked all the doors and windows. and found a letter that was an inspection notice, and someone was expecting my house. so it wasnt someone trying to break in after all. but this made me relize, if this was to happen again, and it WAS a sex offender or a robber or something, what should i do? what if i called 911, and it ended up being another inspector or something??? how do i know if it IS an inspector????
i know these are stupid questions but i really need them answerd!!!
im a younge teen girl.

what should i do!!???!!!??? when i get paniced, i cant think straight, and my legs get wayy to shakey so it was hard to run too!
