Open Question: What are the ramifications for an unlicensed plumber?
My husband is a plumber but not a licensed one. He has been out of work due to a layoff for the past few weeks so he’s been out and about looking for work. He called a number of a general contractor and offered his services for a job site nearby our home. My husband informed the GC he is NOT a licensed plumber and offered his services because he’s desperate for work/money.

I’d like to find out first: Are there ramifications for my husband has an unlicensed plumber if this GC took him under his wing? He asked my husband if he could pass inspection and my husband said yes because he’s worked commercially and passed inspection numerous times. (As well as residential)

I am just a worry wart. I live in FL. I’d like to know if something was to go wrong (for whatever reason), can my husband get in trouble in any way?

He’s not lying or being misleading. He’s been honest about the fact he is NOT licensed.

But I’d rather be safe than sorry. So can my husband get in trouble or have any liability on him?
