Voting Question: In home daycare- Tax Deductions?
I just started a daycare in December and at the moment I am not licensed. However I am considering it and I am wondering if the things I will have to invest to pass inspection in will be tax deductible. Also I am currently watching 3 toddlers 5 days a week. Will this be worth the investment? Do you have any tips for a newcomer?
Items I am wondering about:
Cots/ rugs- They have to have separate sleeping areas.
Storage i.e. boxes coat racks used ONLY for my clients
Toys- not really expecting this one since one of the kiddos is my brother and he will play with them after hours.
Auto- During the summer I would like to take them to parks, museums, the zoo, with proper release forms of course.
Training Classes- I will have to be recertified in CPR and First Aid
Thanks you for your help
